Matthias Djan Portfolio

Matthias Djan is the co-owner of Movement Films. Director of Photography, Producer and at times an Editor. Born in London, Matthias Djan has always been interested in visual story telling looking to evoke meaning and emotion from camera angles and lighting. His experience in over 20 diversely, exciting projects range from Hollywood feature films (The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, 2020), independent shorts, web series and engaging and topical students films. He has been on sets of all shapes and sizes and has worked with a wide variety of genres.

Matthias Djan graduated from Lancaster University in 2018 in English Language and Creative Writing BA (Hons). Through his studies he has developed a deep understanding, interpretation and intuition for branding, marketing and advertisements. He has also analysed YouTube Channel’s and social media advertisements giving him a profound insight into these mediums and how to use them to maximize exposure.

Matthias is based in Milton Keynes and works across the United Kingdom.

A short film that takes a look at addiction to gambling. We follow Ollie’s deterioration as his addiction begins to ruin his life.

A commercial, advertising a business that brings European students to British universities, to assist students decision making, as to whether to study in the UK. Four students give you an insight into their university lives.
