Comedy Musical Short Films

On this episode of the All Sorts of Shorts podcast we looked at comedy musical short films.

We were joined by the comedian/actor/podcaster/funniest person we know Ish Ganjoor. We started the show talking a bit about our love or hate of musicals, and the different ones we’ve enjoyed in the past.

The comedy musicals we looked at for the show were:

With the clock ticking away, Cloud Walker, a self-doubting intern at the most respected dance agency in LA must ask the boss for permission to attend the biggest audition of the year. Struggling with his inner fears, Cloud’s dream are quickly slipping away. It’s up to him to follow his heart or live the rest of his life in regret.

When Ethan, an Emo kid who hates almost everything, falls in love with Trinity, a good Christian girl with a passion for life and her Lord Jesus Christ, his Emo and Goth mates aren’t going to let him live happily ever after…

A woman enters a cafe only to find its diners in complete silence. Then… a man breaks into song. It’s a surprising, genre-bending film nominated for an Oscar in 2004.
